How it runs in your room
The ACTFL Integrated Performance Assessment framework (Adair-Hauck, Glisan & Troyan 2013) ported to ready-to-deploy form for U.S. high school Spanish. The pack teaches the 3-mode sequence (interpretive Day 1 → interpersonal Day 2 → presentational Day 3), the 5-step backwards-design protocol for authoring your own IPAs from one Can-Do plus one authentic source text, and the Performance-vs-Proficiency framing every Spanish teacher should be using in parent-communication. Six full IPAs ship ready to drop into your year at Novice Mid (La familia), Novice High (Mis pasatiempos), Intermediate Low (Los viajes), Intermediate Mid (El medio ambiente), Intermediate High (Las redes sociales), and Pre-Advanced (Los desafíos mundiales). Four analytic rubrics anchored to ACTFL Performance Descriptors: interpretive (3 strands), interpersonal (4 criteria), presentational writing (4 criteria), and the heritage register-switch variant (4 criteria with register-switch scored explicitly). Plus a 7-criterion source-text selection tool, a curated Spanish-source bank list, three real-classroom rubric examples (IB Writing 2022, IB SL Speaking 2020, Spanish 2 Project), and a calibration-discipline protocol so two graders can score the same IPA within 1 point of each other on 80% of strands by sample 10.
