How it runs in your room
Día de los Muertos taught the way it deserves: as a Mexican (and increasingly pan-Latin) cultural and spiritual practice, not Halloween-with-skulls. Students study traditional ofrendas, read authentic accounts, build their own ofrenda for a person they admire, and present in Spanish. Includes vocabulary anchor chart, an explicit DDM vs. Halloween comparison reading, and the kind of cultural respect this topic actually requires.
