The dates below assume a January 18 topic release and a May 13 exam. Adjust by ±1 week each year as College Board confirms. Each week balances project work, multiple choice, and the Argumentative Essay so no section gets neglected.

Week 01 · Topic Drop
Week 1 · Jan 18–24
  • Read all College Board project source materials twice
  • Annotate freely: quotes, vocabulary, surprises
  • Skim 1 grammar pillar (start with ser vs estar)
  • Bluebook practice exam: take it cold, no prep
Week 02 · Topic Drop
Week 2 · Jan 25–31
  • Identify 2-3 possible angles or theses on the topic
  • Find 1 additional outside source (journalism is fine)
  • Begin a project vocabulary list (target 30 terms)
  • 1 timed MC reading drill (10 questions)
Week 03 · Investigation
Week 3 · Feb 1–7
  • Lock in central question + working thesis
  • Find 2 more outside sources (target: 5 total)
  • Grammar pillar #2 (preterite vs imperfect)
  • Listen to 1 Spanish-language podcast on your topic
Week 04 · Investigation
Week 4 · Feb 8–14
  • Draft 3 main ideas with 1 source citation each
  • Begin building the PPR outline (rough form)
  • Argumentative Essay: practice with 1 released prompt
  • 1 timed MC listening drill (10 questions)

  • First full PPR draft on one page
  • Read PPR aloud. Does it scaffold 3 minutes? Trim or expand
  • Grammar pillar #3 (subjunctive, high-yield for AP)
  • Argumentative Essay: review your week 4 essay against rubric
Week 06 · Investigation
Week 6 · Feb 22–28
  • Record first 3-min Project Presentation. Listen back
  • Note vocabulary gaps, then build a circumlocution practice list
  • 1 outside source check-in (do you actually need 5?)
  • Bluebook UI practice: flag, note, time-management tools
Week 07 · Drafting
Week 7 · Mar 1–7
  • PPR revision. Every line should justify its space
  • Record presentation v2. Compare to v1
  • Grammar pillar #4 (por vs para)
  • 1 timed MC reading drill (15 questions)

  • Write 4 sample Q&A questions about your project
  • Record answers under timed conditions
  • Argumentative Essay: full timed simulation (55 min)
  • Score yourself against the rubric, then note 2 areas to improve

  • Revise PPR based on feedback

  • Day-by-day: 1 short Q&A practice, 1 listening drill, 1 essay outline
  • Equipment day: test the headset, the device, the login
  • Review the 5 grammar pillars with your own examples

  • Mon: Light review only, no new content
  • Tue: 1 short speaking warm-up, then rest
  • Wed-Thu: Sleep, eat, hydrate. Do not cram
  • May 13: Exam day. Wired headset, charged device, your PPR is ready
