Listening is the AP/IB skill that responds least to last-minute study and most to disciplined daily practice. This pack delivers the framework and the scaffolds, which is what most students never get. The three-pass rule (spine, proof, what is unsaid) maps to the cognitive sequence Vandergrift's research identifies. Six AP-style listening worksheets cover all six AP themes (Familias, Ciencia y Tecnología, Belleza, Vida Contemporánea, Identidades, Desafíos Mundiales), each with pre-listening activation, three structured listening passes, and post-listening consolidation. The audio sources are not included (copyright); each worksheet pairs with a podcast or news clip the student supplies, and the source-selection criteria on page 5 tell you exactly what to look for (native-speaker speed, authentic register, 2-4 minutes, multiple voices preferred). The IB section ships sample-analysis templates for both SL and HL Individual Oral, organized by the 2020 rubric criteria (Productive Skills, Interactive Skills, Language Use), with band-4-5 markers named explicitly so students know what they are listening for in their own practice recordings. Self-recorded oral scaffold for students preparing for the IO. AP Speaking Rubric and IB SL/HL Speaking Rubric included. Heritage variant focuses on academic-register Spanish where heritage advantages are smaller. Plus a 16-week study sequence from late January through May exam. Polished 18-page PDF plus editable Word + Slides scaffolds.

Why this works.
Section 1 interpretive listening scoring guidelines anchor the AP scaffolds.
Individual Oral scoring criteria anchor the SL/HL sample analysis templates.
Pre-while-post scaffold is the evidence-based structure for listening instruction.
Bottom-up + top-down listening processes both deserve practice; the three-pass rule alternates between them.
Heritage learners' academic-register listening needs targeted practice; family-register listening is a validated strength.
